Delivering Timeless Artworks to Customers

Could you tell us what makes Kawata Gallery unique?

Our gallery handles both primary and secondary market artworks, with much of our business conducted through the art departments of department stores. Lately, we’ve focused on supporting emerging artists, discovering exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds. Their works are featured in department store exhibitions, art fairs, and our own gallery.

You also represent many unique artists who are not found elsewhere, correct?

Yes, we aim to find artists whose works will be cherished for years to come, fulfilling our customers' desire for quality art.

What is your gallery’s priority?

We aim to offer our customers timeless masterpieces that they will treasure for generations. When purchasing artworks, we visit the artists' studios to carefully examine each piece. Understanding and effectively conveying the unique value of each artwork is at the heart of what we do.

How many people work at your gallery?

We have a team of five. Besides me, there are three full-time employees and one part-time employee.

Definitely. We’ve seen more visitors at our exhibitions who discovered us through social media. We've even had overseas customers purchase artworks after seeing them on our social media channels. As a result, we've been putting more effort into our social media.
